Gi Paoletti Design Lab in collaboration with Reel Grobman and Associates in San Jose, designed the Regional Medical Center's new elevated Helicopter Port. It is the only helicopter pad in the county that can handle military helicopters weighing in at up to 22,000 pounds.
The first California National Guard 129th Rescue Wing's Pave Hawk landed at the new Helicopter port on June 9th, 2008 commencing the unveiling of the new heliport. The pictures below show the different helicopters doing their test landings.
Gi Paoletti was the lead designer for the 18 foot high helicopter landing pad, ramp and 33 foot high elevator/stair tower.
